But hurry. It closes this Sunday, August 17th. There is no need to be a weaver, felter or embroiderer to enjoy this exhibition. Anyone involved with patterning, color, and texture will most probably be captivated. The well edited selection includes decorative as well as functional pieces. The labeling is perhaps the best I have ever encountered. The concise, pertinent, beautifully written text describes techniques, discusses the functions of specific items and vividly illustrates the richness of the cultures of the people who made and used them. Caveats: Many of the labels are at ankle level. It is freezing in the gallery so bring a sweater.
